NYLABONES! Inexpensive to get at grocery stores. PetSmart, PetCo, and other specialty pet stores will hike the price exponentially

Re: What's the best chewie thing you have found?

I tried the wolf size....they were gone in about an hour.

He has recently chewed the recycling bin (you know several feet tall and round) to nothing...an entire small tree to pretty much a stump, the see saw to nothing...my imported wooden roofed sandbox (ah so monetarily painful). It is not that he is ALLOWED to chew those things- he grabs them and runs- and chomp chomp while he whisks by...he drops it when told but those single bites over and over add up. I gave in on the tree and let him have at that.

He can't have anything with beef in it due to an allergy....and I would not give rawhide anyway for fear of choking. I need something industrial strength though!!!

The galileo by nylabone is a heavy one, it lasts quite a while. My dogs have had two since spring, and they are still around.

Re: What's the best chewie thing you have found?

The best and longest-lasting chewies I've found are raw beef bones. My vet's dog is allergic to beef so she gives him bison bones instead of beef (knuckle bones usually.)

Aside from those Bianca finishes most chews really quickly. I think the Himalayan Dog Chew lasted a while but I am not sure because I only bought it once or twice before since they are expensive (I'll let you know how long it lasts once I give her the one I have now...)

I've also heard that deer antlers last a long time and a lot of dogs love them.

A snowman I bought on sale at our local pet store/feed store.
Kilo has had it since LAST YEAR when he was a baby pup!
Its the ONLY stuffed animal he hasnt been able to chew in peices & eat.
(Of course I had to rip the fluff out, as he was eating it lol)

Nylabones for sure.

I just picked up a new one. It's bacon flavored. This one has massaging nubs or something like that. My girl loves it.

I plan.... I mean Santa is bringing one for Dakota and his Cousin Mac (who can destroy a Black Kong within a week). They are getting one each for Christmas.

Anyone else used these?

They come with a Guarantee and a red indicator core to tell you when to take it away.

Re: What's the best chewie thing you have found?

I've seen the GoughNuts at the store but Bianca didn't seem interested so I haven't bought one.

I did buy an "UdderTug" which is also supposed to be good for dogs who like to chew, and supposedly many dogs go nuts over it but Bianca had no interest:
