this might be a dumb question but...

is Gauge a good name for a male german shepherd...I hear a name can have a effect on his personality, also how late is to late to pick out a name?

I adopted a VERY old Husky and changed her name.

It's never too late to pick up a name or even change it!

The name I use tend to have 2 syllables and end with a long vowel sound - like EYE or EEE.

That said, we have Cloe, Banzai, Snowy, Winnie, Mauser, Sasha, Tazer and Kaynya.

Gauge sounds like a cool name to me. It's your dog, so name him what you think fits him best just dont go naming him something stupid like killer. Nothing wrong with gauge though.

I'd stick with the name you pick out and don't change it if i were you. You don't want to confuse the pup.

Gauge sounds like a great name to me. Like someone else said, it's never too late to change a name, dogs are smart and will learn their new names pretty fast.

Okay, I have to admit, all my dogs have more then one name and yes, they listen to them.

My black and white Border Collie:
