Question Female 4 Month GSD - Always showing Belly

Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone else had a GSD that did this. My female puppy always is on her back, showing her belly to get rubs. No matter what is happening if you walk up to her she will flop on her back and want her belly rubbed. She sleeps this way as well. Its cute... but is this normal? Her legs are always open as well which makes me worry about her hips.

Just wanted others opinions... thanks

dogs with bad hips aren't that flexible

She's fine. She's just likes her belly rubbed.

Much better than when my oldest went through the stage of peeing when anyone walked up to her. Enjoy this cute little puppy age, it flies by quickly.

My dog Scarlet will be 3 in August, and still flips over every chance she gets to have her belly rubbed. I put it on cue. Now I say “slap your tummy” and there she goes, lol.

My Lex girl was supposedly trained for patrol work and she was not terrible, except if I didn't stop her she would flop over for belly rubs from the people we were supposed to be removing! Oops.

Her career was short lived.

Enjoy your sweet puppy.

It means she trusts you. My male sleeps like that when he’s relaxed.

That is so funny, truly speaks to the breed. Even with all the training, they are stubborn and will do there best to get what they want.
