Funniest dog names!

Okay, a tension-relieving thread! Ruq, if this is the wrong section, I'm sorry. I wasn't sure where to place this!

We've all heard "Dee-Oh-Gee" and "Puppy" and even "Woofy" for dogs' names.... what's the FUNNIEST dog name you've ever heard?

I'll start: A police department had imported a dog from Czech, and nobody could say his name very easily. The K9 officer designated to be the partner for this dog went home and asked his kids to name the dog. Somewhere out there, keeping our streets safe, is a K9 unit named.....

"Sponge Bob!"

The object of life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting HOLY S%*T what a ride!

Guy that worked at our barn named his dog "Damm#t." Started off something else but eventually that is what the dog responded to

Re: Funniest dog names!

When I was a child our neighbors had a large mix they named Sunshine.
It was hysterical listening to them at night calling "Here Sunshine, where are you?"!

Re: Funniest dog names!

I once knew a large collie mix that had terrible dermatitis and always had greasy brittle hair. Her name was Cuddles.. I hesitated to even pet her unless I could wash the smell off my hands afterwards!

Re: Funniest dog names!

I once had a client that had a Pit Bull named Chinga. If you speak spanish you know it is not a word you should throw around lightly. It's like saying the "F" word. The funny thing was that this guy had no idea what it meant. Someone had suggested it as a good name and he had gone with it.

A Chihuahua named Eldridge was funny too. Such a big name on such a small dog.

Re: Funniest dog names!

One of my childhood dogs, a black and white border collie mix, was named Skunk. She got her name because my grandfather, who found the dog in his yard at night, thought she was a skunk at first. She had no collar, and no one claimed her, so we adopted her. Skunk lived with us for 15 years. My mom finally put her down when she was too old, sick and weak to walk or eat. She was a great dog!

Skunk's companion, a female shepherd/lab mix, was named Captain. When my mom asked why I wanted to name her that, I responded with, "Because girls can be captains, too!" (I was about 6 years old at the time)
