yes, that would be a pretty good indicator !

But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. ~ Jer. 18:4

Anna, are those the little baby cygnets you had? Man are they ever getting big!

And *cough* ugly *cough. I can see they're close to blossoming into beautiful swans.

yes, these are my babies - they are about 6 - 7 kg each, pretty hard to carry, but they still think that they are babies

Cute picture. I hope your house is not damaged by floods. We have had one of the wettest summers ever in the UK. lots of people have had their houses flooded. What type of swans are they? The most common swan here is the mute swan. I think the swans in your pic look like whooper swans.

Re: How do you know when it is too much rain?

You are absolutely right! They are Whooper Swans (Cygnus cygnus)! I'm impressed, really, as att his age they all look quite similar.

On Monday the last phase of the project will start - the rings will be put on their necks and they will be released in wildlife under supervision, but without direct human contact) and if they will make it, then that's all - this summer project will be happy closed. If not, i will carry my forster mum functions until next spring.

No, house is not damaged - it is just rain, nothing exciting. Granit foundation is about 4 ft thick and walls go 10 ft deep into the ground, so they need much more to create damages (I presume, messile would do some ... ish )
