Re: All this talk of Easter and Chocolate....

One Easter, as usual, we gave our 4 kids chocolate bunnies in their baskets. They were on the kitchen table and we went to early mass and then out to breakfast. Lo and behold, when we had returned the sun had shone in and heated up the inside of the box and most of my oldest son's bunny melted. He was a little upset, enough to where we were discussing getting him a replacement, which I really didn't want to do as he was the one child who never really ate his bunny so I saw that as a waste of time and money (of course I did not vocalize this). But then I got an inspiration. I dubbed it his Chernobyl bunny, the kids all got a big laugh and all of a sudden his bunny was the big hit. No trip to the store and my middle son actually tried to get his to melt too.

Re: All this talk of Easter and Chocolate....

Ok, I just got in trouble over this post. My husband was trying to have a serious conversation with my kids about the presidential debate. He was in the middle of explaining who the joint chief of staffs were when he saw me behind him holding up my computer and showing them the bunnies!! lol! He said that if we weren't going to listen to him then he was going to watch the debate in the bedroom!! I thought the bunnies were more interesting!

Chernobyl bunny I love kids who are into how stuff works. My 5 year old I swear needs a physics for 10 year olds.

mmmm chocolate bunnies. I always eat the ears and head and then leave the rest. They need to make just chocolate bunny ears, life would be good then. =)
