contrary, my tears all go for the dog(s). and there are two kinds of "help me" rehome my dog posts. the kind that draw empathy and help, and the kind that don't. but we have to think of the dog(s) and help all of them, as best we can.

Hmm..., WD happens to be intact and 1.5 years old but I already have an ancient intact dog as well.

If this old GSD was just kept as a breeder dog and lives kenneled he may very well enjoy a real home.

I would suggest the OP contact GSD Rescue of New England. They may be able to find a foster for him, tho normally they don't take owner turn ins, but may depending on the circumstances..They would also at the least, do a courtesy listing.

Another place to check is Weeping Willow Sanctuary however, it's in PA..

I had the same question...

Hoping they know there are NO sales of dogs on this site so requesting thread gets moved to the NON Urgent Rescue section...

Moving to non-urgent rescue.

Of course no one would pay for a dog of 13, unless donating to a rescue who takes the dogs in and cares for them after they've found themselves without a home.

Handsome dog! Ork vom Stahlfang Some Adequan would get that back up, I am betting.

Old dogs are adoptable and adaptable. While it is often not what you want to see happen (sometimes it is if they are moving from a home where they are not being taken care of to a better home) and while I would not recommend it, it is what it is right now and I hope he finds a home that will care for him in his final years.
