Age to stop mixing wet with dry?

At what age should I stop mixing wet with dry and feed only dry? Thanks.

Whatever age you want. (Or never, it is up to you.)

My pup has been on plain old "dry kibble" since she was almost 7 weeks old. When I brought her home at 8 weeks, I kept feeding her dry kibble.

Re: Age to stop mixing wet with dry?

FWIW, kibble is ridiculously dry. I think mixing in some wet ingredient whether water, liquid from a can of fish, or canned food is very beneficial. You ever eat crackers and then have to drink a ton of water to compensate? That's what our dogs deal with day in and day out and I don't think many dogs know how much water to take in. When I was feeding kibble, I always added water. Now, Renji gets raw but he still gets a little "soup" with his food!

Ditto both of the above. The only time Nikon's had wet with me was b/c I needed something to mix Panacur in and it's a powder. Pups can eat the same things as adults. Wet food is better in general (and I'm a kibble feeder so I'm not trying to be preachy!).
