Red face Best diet for a puppy

Hey Guys,

I am purchasing my first German Shepard tomorrow and I just have a few questions regarding diet.

Would I be better off buying a high quality puppy food until the dog has grown a bit then switching to a natural/raw diet? Or should I start on the raw diet from the word go?

And would you be able to recommend some good books/website/blogs about raw diets for GSD's and the benefits from being on this diet compared to dry food.

Thanks

Michael

A raw food diet is definitely the best dog food. As for the best dog kibble, it depends, anything that's high quality and grain free is something to go with. "Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs" by Lew Olson is a good book. There's lots of good websites and even Facebook groups for this type of thing. Raw Chat (RC) is a good group on Facebook with tons of good information on the raw food diet.
