I personally wouldn't be comfortable feeding my dog a 2.1% calcium food especially as a puppy. I'd stick to the High Prairie and Pacific Stream Puppy formulas which are 1.4% calcium and the Sierra Mountain formula is only .2% higher for an adult formula at 1.6% calcium. I feed the High Prairie puppy formula (just switched from Canidae All Stages Lamb&Rice which was higher in calcium). From what I've read though is that GSD's should be in the 1.2% range for calcium :/ it's just hard to find an affordable food in that range so I just get as close as I can.
