Nutro

I'm switching from Iams to Nutro Natural Choice lamb meal and rice... Is that a good brand? I need to get Max's poop harder- Iams made his poop soft and watery.

Nutro is an average food, but you can do better. Check out the lists of the 4 and 5 star dog foods on the Dog Food Advisor site and then make sure the calcium level is no more than 1.2 percent by going to the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread: https://www.germanshepherds.com/forum/feeding-our-puppy/186106-puppy-food-ingredient-nutrition-spreadsheet.html

My dogs do well on Nutro. Specially love the bags with 10% free. Every little bit helps

It's not a bad food, ingredient wise, but the company has a history of recalls and sick pets. Mars bought it out a few years ago-personally I like my pet foods to be made by companies whose focus is only on pet food.

You may want to check out Nature's Logic as it is gluten free and has a nice list of ingredients. "Highly palatable and nutrient dense meat based dry foods with concentrates of select fruits and vegetables, containing no wheat, corn, rice, soy, potato or chemically synthesized vitamins, minerals, or trace nutrients. Each dry diet is specially coated with digestive enzymes and plasma protein containing high levels of natural vitamins, minerals, and albumin and globulin proteins."
