Picky Eater Now LOVES Mealtime!!

After reading some other posts and doing research, I decided to start switching Boss gradually from Innova to Blue Buffalo LB Puppy Natural Chicken and Brown Rice. He LOVES it. Never before would he sniff at the bag with such interest, but he's really digging this!! I'm so happy to have found something this guy seems to really like. Just wondering, do most of you mix your dry food with something wet? If so, what do you use?

Just be careful because mixing in the wet stuff with a picky eater can make them even worse.

With that said, there's tons you can mix in. All of ther merrick canned flavors are good and i highly recommend them. You can also mix in yogurt, raw eggs, canned pumpkin, cottage cheese, canned tripe, and so on.

If I see any sign of pickiness, then it is dry kibble for that dog. It is a slippery slope with those guys to start adding things. My dogs all scarf up dry kibble.

I use BB duck and sweet potato with a teaspoon of wet grain free food, a little water, and sometimes yogurt. Both my dogs lap it up happily twice a day

I give Elvis (14 weeks) straight dry Orijen LBP food with nothing mixed in; an average day for him is 3.5 cups per day and he's been gaining about 3 pounds per week. If he's picky and you found something he likes then congrats.

If I mix too much wet food in with Shasta's kibble, she gets the runs but...she loves her kibble so much I can even use it for training treats. She is a real chow hound.
