Switching to BB...

So, I have had my GSD puppy for about 6 weeks now. He is my first dog and I didnt really know anything about having a dog, I didnt do any research before I got him either (I know, idiot thing to do). I started him on Science Diet and now he is 14 weeks old. After doing the research I should have done in the first place, I realized that I will be switching Dago to BB Large puppy food. My only question is this.... On the bag for just regular puppy food it gives a feeding chart starting at 3 lbs. On the large breed bag the weight starts at 50 lbs. Dago is 14 weeks and is at 29 lbs, can he have the large breed food??? If so, at what rate should I be feeding him????? Thanks....

I think it means that the food is good for puppies that are going to be more than 50 pounds when they mature.

BB Large Breed Puppy is for puppies that are large breed dogs like Rotts, Dobermans, Akitas etc.

You want to feed the large breed puppy. The chart refers to the estimated size that he WILL be when grown up. For a GSD, pick a weight around 90 lbs. then look at the age that he is now column. That will give you an idea of how much to feed now. Those are just guides. I watch how my dog is doing weight-wise and adjust more or less food depending on his physique. He should have a nice hour glass shape, good muscle tone, not fat, not skinny.
