Feeding my pup Kirkland Chicken & Rice adult - That ok?

Hey guys,

I'm feeding my GSD pup Kirkland chicken formula adult food, to slow his growth down a bit to allow joints/bones to develop properly. Is that ok? I was going to get him the puppy formula, but I don't want him growing to quick, ya know? Does the adult formula have the proper amount of nutrition?

Thanks for the help guys!

Adrian

That's fine. My breeder puts her pups on adult formula as soon as they can eat kibble. She says it's so they don't grow too fast for their skeletons. She has been breeding GSD's for 25 years. I also asked my vet about this and he agrees. Wolfie has been fed adult food his whole life. He is a very healthy 6 month old. 2 weeks ago, he weighed 60.3 lbs which is a good weight. I'm sure he weighs more now.

Awesome. That's what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the reply!
