Everyday Collar

Looking for suggestions/options for everyday collar. Currently using a nylon collar and also have a dominant dog collar. The nylon collars we have sued the clip has cracked. Was considering a military grade collar?

Looking for any suggestions and pics if you have them.

I've read nothing but positive reviews of these collars: https://k9tacticalgear.com/collectio...-nylon-collars

What do I want? I want a GSD! When do I want it? NOW!

I'm not really a fan of an everyday collar. The collar(s) you want for training are typically different than for a walk. If you are leaving a collar on a your dog while they are unattended then most people strongly suggest a breakaway collar for safety.

If you like martingale collars then this company offers a unique breakaway version:

As far as I know they are the only ones offering a breakaway martingale.

If you are not using an everyday collar then what is being used to show their dog license, name tag, rabies vaccination, etc?

My dogs run naked at home. That's safest. When we live the property, on adults, I use a leather buckle collar with deerskin on the inside, from weaver leather for tags. I use a leather martingale for the leash.

For puppies, I usually use a nylon adjustable collar for tags, and a nylon adjustable martingale (quick release if possible) for the leash.

Sorry when I meant I wasn't a fan of an everyday collar I meant there wasn't one collar for all situations.

In terms of a collar for tags and the like, a breakaway collar is the safest option. When a leash is attached, the collar cannot breakaway. If the dog were to somehow get away/lost and hung up on the collar the collar will breakaway. Yes, that means the dog will be separated from name and vaccination indicators but that is far better than the alternative. The microchip still allows the dog to be identified if found. Hope that makes more sense. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't use an everyday collar at all. Almost lost a dog with one. They just go without tags. I live in an area that doesn't have regulations anyway. They only wear a collar when they are "in town" or being trained.
