Your favorite collar that doesn't mess up neck fur (non fur saver)

Hi all,

Do any of you have a favorite fur sparing collar that is NOT a fur saver collar?

I keep collars on my dogs 24/7. I am trying to break the habit but old habits die hard lol. I was raised to always keep a collar on my dog. Always. However, the collar I currently keep on (flat leather) messes up the hair on my dogs neck.

Should I just deal with it if I want to keep a collar on? Is there some magic middle ground I don't know about? Or is fur saver the way to go here?

I like fur saver collars but if my dog is playing with room mates dog (who also wears a collar 24/7) I don't want teeth snagging issues if they play. Yes, I take them off if I know they are going to play but they constantly interact. If I should take the collars off when they are in crates or interacting, should I even bother at all with them?

I used to put a round leather roll collar on my Samoyed. Back then they were hard to find.. I have seen them many places lately.

^ same, I was a huge rolled leather fan back in the day. I still love them but have adapted to naked dogs at home and martingales or slip leads when away.

Naked dogs are the best.

I am most definitely not a fan of rolled leather. For not damaging hair I go for Mes Amis nylon collars. Their leashes are divine on the hands for being nylon as well.

Cool Neck fur

Aside from their eyes, the GSD's neck is my favorite part of this breed. They have an amazing neck and chest area. I prefer a naked GSD, but when I need to put something on him, I like a harness.
