Building a crate?

My 3 year old who has had obedience training does not like staying in her crate when we leave.. The crate we have is those plastic travelling crates.. We have to use cable ties to keep her in,, she knows how to open the door and sometimes even if it's tied she can squeeze thru the tiniest space even tho she's a good size female (70 pounds)

Any suggestions on building a crate or a different type u can buy?

You could go to an aluminum crate.

When a dog saves the life of a man, it becomes clear that partnership knows no bounds.

Lucian - Med Alert / Mobility SD (Cane Corso)
Pud - the old man (Pit x Lab)

I agree with David, those are probably the most secure crates, but can be pricey.

I think you'd do better to research heavy duty metal crates than waste time/money figuring out how to build a 'dog proof' one.
