What should I do?!

Okay so I have a purebred that’s 6.5 months old and his ears are still not up. They’ve both been up before but not as the same time. I’ve tried taping and he doesn’t like it and it’ll only stay up for a few days and he’s getting tired of me messing with them. I’ve been giving him cottage cheese for almost 2 weeks now. He’s a big boned dog but I don’t know what else to do. Is it too late?

He does look like a big boy with heavy ears. We were finally able to get ours to stand (7.5 months and 75 pounds) just recently, so I wouldn't say its too late. We used a gsd foam ear insert (can't post link due to posting restrictions, just google it) and some Tear Mender glue. The first try he itched it off the next morning, I think due to putting it in too deep. The next try stayed in for 1.5 weeks and same with the 3rd try. After the 3 weeks his ear has been standing ever since. Could give it a try?

There is still hope. Give him a bone or bully stick to chew. Chewing strengthens the muscles that help the ears to stay up.

I don't think you should worry. My previous dog's ears didn't fully come up and stay up until around 8 to 9 months old. If it's been up before, there's a good shot that it'll come back up later.
