I would choose #2- Canidae- after doing some quick research into all 3 products. Canidae is a better mix of ingredients,

slightly higher protein at 33%, and thus lower carbohydrates- still high at 39%. Should also see coat and skin

improvement on this one.

My vote would be for First Mate. Shadow has been on their foods for most of her life. The new grain friendly ones are awesome, what Shadow currently eats.
In the entire history of the company they have had no recalls.
Not only did they respond instantly when my dogs both fell ill, they switched my bag and a half for two bags from different batches, they demanded nothing from me, no evidence or vet reports, they instantly suspended sales on the entire batch in question pending retesting, and finding absolutely no issues they still reached out to reassure me and see how my dogs were doing.
All sourcing is revealed and as much as possible local to them.
All meat is cruelty free
The plant can be toured
The price point for the quality is unbeatable
The food is also nutrient dense so you feed less of it and the ingredient list is comprehensible. The chicken fat used in their foods is protein free.

Are you sure your dogs needs LID? I tried it after my dog had two bleeding episodes. Then I noticed she was panting a lot and I read it can be dangerous, so I switched. I was using Zignature because it got excellent ratings, but it’s not on your list.

Have you considered that it may not be food?

Concerning the kibbles that you have tried:
Did you keep the dog on 1 kibble, (no other treats) for at least 8 to 10 weeks before switching?

A dog could possibly itch even MORE if it is "detoxing" from whatever ingredient it was sensitive to in a particular food. So enough time must be allowed for an "elimination diet" to work properly.

And, as mentioned, you could be seeing environmental sensitivities.
For example:
*New dog bed
*New carpet, flooring or furniture in the house
*Change in laundry detergent
*Chemical lawn treatments
*Or just trees, grass, bushes, flowers, etc.

The list could go on and on!

Best of luck to finding the right food!

I have not stayed with any one food for 8 weeks .

I did not know about de-tox, and yes it is worse and shedding like CRAZY.

I truly feel it is only food related and she itches just a little but it bothers me that it won't go away but now she's itching more. Not bad by any means but worse than she usually does.

What about any flea or HW protection products...even if you have stopped using for season, these have to be processed and removed from the body
