Something i just have to share...

Please tell me if this can really happen or is it something else.

I have started my GSD on probiotics and at the same time I have also started her on a krill omega 3,6, chewable. Now my girl is 5 years old and I have 3 different style brushes. I can brush her every day and when people give her love he just leaves this pile of hair. It doesn't matter the month she is by far the most shedding GSD out of the 8 I have ever owned.

Today she does not hardly loose a hair when anybody pets her... Can this really be attributed to the Krill omega chewable...It's the only logical answer I can come up with. But it seems to be too easy and W H Y !! Didn't I ever come across this information over all the years I have owned GSD's. 35 years..I just need opinions please.

see and hear of this often when dog is put onto probiotics .

the dog is able to assimilate , absorb , more of the nutrients in the food , so plane of nutrition is
raised.

So it's the probiotic huh.... thank you so very much for your wisdom.. Now I am nervous to start my kefir and quit the probiotic powder I bought. because I thought kefir was a better choice over some product that I have to trust it's quality and integrity of a company.

Hopefully you found the magic elixir! My dogs should be naked with the amount they've shed this summer. As soon as it cooled down a few days ago the shedding slowed to practically nothing.Could be coincidence if it's cooled down over on your side of the lake?

I just saw that you have another thread dealing with allergies.

Allergies usually involve some digestive flaw, leaky gut -

there are strains of beneficial bacteria which address leaky gut .

digest enzymes ensure that the food is thoroughtly broken down to the
smallest particle

why would you be afraid to use kefir ? It is an excellent source of "some"
beneficial bacteria

live kefir will keep on fermenting . I remember the first kefir that I bought -
mid-european grocery -- the "real stuff" . In the warmth of the car the bacteria
kept growing and producing by-product -- GAS . There was a pop and the lid blew
and the contents of the kefir container where sprayed all over my car interior.

Buy live culture kefir . Very easy to make yourself -- gt a starter strain - grains and away
you go .

Put the kefir over your choice of kibble.

I guess it's not afraid it's that I found a product that stopped my girl from shedding and I am in the midst of putting my kefir grains in goat milk and I am hoping I get the same non shedding results.

the probiotic strains in the kefir although comples, and goat milk is excellent to use, will not be as varied in the
strains in a commercial forumula --

there are some good commercial probiotics and there are some that are limited and not so good.

Lol! Yes time will tell and please share! With gsds and their shedding fur a magic elixir is priceless! Im just happy I’m just happy the fur balls scattered throughout has stopped. I just bought a slew of probiotics myself. I use goats milk for the dogs!
