Diet for UTIs and kidney stones

Iím asking for someone with a Shih Tzu who is on expensive, poor quality prescription food. Is there another food that can treat it? The owner is elderly and doesnít have a lot of access to foods. She doesnít drive so someone has to pick it up for her. Any suggestions? After my brief experience with prescription dog food, I wouldnít feed it to a dog again.

I found this. Low PH, lots of fluids, use probiotics, feed fresh food, don’t use prescription foods. All things this person probably can’t do.

This article has some suggestions for food. Since a bag of food will last a little dog a long time, it may be easier for the person to purchase it online and have a standing order. If there is no access to a computer, most of the sites have toll free numbers for ordering by phone.
