I am no pro but I know enough to say do not feed rice and chicken. The only time my dog ever got cooked chicken and rice was to stop the runs. A dog needs a balanced diet, if you want to feed a raw diet you have a lot of reading to do and a slow transition to make. A dog needs muscle meat, raw meaty bones and organs and liver from a variety of protein sources in certain percentages that can be balanced over time. Use the search function on the forum and start googling raw diets. You can also purchase balanced pre-made raw from companies like Darwin's slowly transitioning the dog and slow introducing new proteins. Their are also well made kibble foods you may want to just look at a slow change to higher quality kibble. Raw fed is best when fed correctly if not done correctly it is a disaster for your pet.

I agree with Apex1 that a diet of rice and chicken is just temporary for diarrhea.
