ACV and Kefir

Can the antibiotic properties of apple cider vinegar interfere with the probiotic strength of kefir if both are given on the same day or at the same time?

On a side note where do you buy kefir in yogurt form? I found the the stuff that comes in a milk carton and while the dog which benefits from it likes it the rest don't. I've heard of people using it too, but I hope it's not the stuff I got.

Making your own milk kefir is cheap and easy. Grains multiply constantly so sharing grains is what I do. If you want some, pm me your address and I'll mail you some. They mail easily.

apple cider vinegar "with mother" IS a PROBIOTIC

it has the same function to alter the bacterial profile in the gut , discouraging
pathogens and fungi -- as other sources of bacteria rich fermented foods and dedicated
beneficial bacterial strains.

Onyxgirl thank you for your offer but Jax sent me some of her grains just a little while ago and I learned to make my own. I initially was interested in kefir for my boy but I acquired a taste for it, straight up no flavors added, also.

I'm working on finding raw milk or goats milk but near impossible around here.

Nigel, it is some what sour, but did not cause a gag reflex the way bad milk does so down the hatch it went.

Carmen, I just want to make sure I'm interpreting correctly what you are saying in laymen terms.

So ACV with the "Mother" can destroy kefir's probiotics?

Good that you are using it for your own as well as your boy!

I have started to feel a bit better also. Bless his soul but dh thought I was nuts when I showed him the grains and what I was doing with them. He couldn't believe I was putting milk in a cabinet then drinking it the next day. Lol. He has gotten use to the oddities of what I've been doing all for the love of my boy.
