8 week old puppy socializing

I've read a mix opinions that at 8 weeks the puppy's fear level is the highest. But my kids first bday is today and wanted to know if it's a good idea or bad to bring my pup to the party as I do want him socialized as we sit home a lot to ourselves but don't want him freaked out. What's your thoughts would it be more harm then good?

I agree with Carmen's opinion, a child's birthday party isn't the place for a puppy. Way too much going on! There is a sticky on early socialization https://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...alization.html

It's a long read but there is sooo much good information here!
