Doggy Daycare?

I am thinking of leaving Rosie at dog daycare tomorrow for about 6-7 hours as I have to go out, she has never been there before but my older dog has. Does this sound like a reasonable thing to do or is it better to leave her there for a briefer period for the first time? Or not at all? I feel like this is a really long time to be left in her crate, but I could get a dog walker but that would just be a half hour then back in the crate. Any thoughts?

I agree with you that the dog daycare would be a better option than being crated. If your older dog is going with Rosie to daycare tomorrow, then I'd think there would be no concerns. Otherwise, if possible, try to take her there today for a brief period - just so she knows what to expect that you are coming back. If that doesn't work, I think that if Rosie is friendly and with everything going on, she may not miss you at all for the complete full day

Our daycare requires a first short visit before a long stay. Since your other dog will be there, it could be OK.
