Is my 4 month old GS skinny???

i got him over a little over 3 months i have had him for about 3 weeks and a couple of days... you can see his ribs sorta in the light we feed him a full bowl of food every day once. its my first time owning a GS also..

My 4 month old was very leggy and skinny. Just like your pup. People asked if he was a coyote ??. I asked the same question your asking and everyone here agreed he was thin but okay and that gsds really go through an awkward phase. Now that he's 7 months old he's really starting to have a better body proportion and legs don't seem and awkward. He's now longer than he is tall.

It helps to take a photo looking down on him and another sideways view.

He looks fine. You mentioned you feed him once a day? Most pups need to be fed smaller portions 2-3 times per day until about 8 months to a year. Then you can cut down to once a day. That might help him put on a little bulk

He needs to be fed a couple times a day. At least morning and night, at this age.
