Introducing puppy

Hi everyone. I will be bringing in a new GSD puppy in about 8 weeks time to my 2 dogs. My husky is brilliant with dogs, but my white GSD who we adopted as a rescue is quite fear based- dominant and whilst not panicked I am concerned and it is important to have a calm pack.
We are working with a dog behavourist currently to assist us but any thoughts/ suggestions on bringing in our new boy would be great.
Thanks
Candace

I thought I was going to have a big problem with my girl Kiya when I brought Lakota home, turned out they became bff's. The way I did it probably isn't recommeded but I was by myself. I had Lakota in a hard plastic travel crate. Went into our yard and sat there. I don't remember how long before I took her out and I did not let her wonder without a long line.
When I brought Kiya home 8yrs ago I did the same thing, she was shipped in so that travel crate came in handy. The 2 other dogs at the time Chazzy GSD was about 9 and Apache was about 1-1/2. I used my deck and let her walk around the deck with the gate by the steps. Introducing those 2 to her was a breeze.

Thanks Carolyn.
I am planning on doing the walk as a pack prior to bringing into the house and having a few weeks off to closely monitor interactions, for the first day or so I'm not planning on leaving them alone together just in case. I'm sure once they have bonded they will be fine, I just want to give both dogs the best chance especially since I am planning on trialling my puppy I do not want to have this dog scared or turned Skittish by my Mia.
