At what age does the teen phase usually stop?

LOL!!!! yea I noticed it right away! we are having gaurding issues and he growls at me for no reason...we are working with a trainer but I was wondering how long this would last. uuugggghhhhhhhh

forget about the butthead stage, the puppy stage, the
adolescent stage, the fear stage, etc. be consistent
in the training stage and the socializing stage and you'll
never have a problem with any stage.

Melissa - I didn't always practice what I'm preaching but yes I totally agree with this. My biggest mistake is that I wasn't consistent enough in training and actually sort of justified/excused the "bad" behavior based on what stage I thought he was in and I think because of that it took me longer to work through it.

I agree with this 100%. I have consistently had her in training since she was 13 weeks and I have never experienced the biting stage, butthead stage, etc. She is almost 1 and listens better then ever. Yep I think it has everything to do with training/socializing
