Talking Taking advantage of every socialization opportunity

If I didn't have to work, I'd be out and about more often with Spirit

So today we practiced with the mail lady. We don't have a fenced yard so this is an especially delicate situation! As I saw the mail lady approaching in her mail truck, I put Spirit in a sit and started scratching his chest (this helps to calm him). He was doing really well, not a peep, no hackles. I kept him in this calm state, scratching his chest, thinking the mail lady was going to drive on by but nope, she PARKED! Right in front of our house!! I'm thinking boy, this is going South for sure, the mail lady is only a foot away .... But dagnabbit we forged ahead Hah, Spirit just turned over on his back for a belly rub!
