Puppy classes & shots.

I got my puppy at 10 weeks; I am not sure if he had his first round of shots or not before I got him – I would hate to assume so, but the person I got him from seems to think he did (when he was with the breeder). I took him to the vet 2 days after we picked him up and the vet said since they weren’t sure, they just act as though he hasn’t had any. Saturday he gets his second (or third) round. I would really like to start taking him to puppy classes – of course the vet says he needs all four rounds before classes/taking him to places like PetCo, etc. – If I wait for all four rounds he will be 5 months old… The trainer says after one or two rounds he should be fine for puppy classes. Both sides are convincing – of course I’m more inclined to go with what the vet says, but would really like to start his classes asap. Any advice?

We have a puppy class out there that lets puppies come at 8 weeks for socialization, they sterilize the training room for puppies only, and any sick puppy is not allowed in. They've been training puppies like this for 12 years.

For me personally ... socializing my GSD is my #1 priority to make sure a have a well mannered balanced calm dog.
