Adult coat

When do puppies start to get their adult coat? Winter is all of a sudden loosing fur. Enough to leave a bit of a trail wherever she is, and completely clogged the bath this morning. I just read something about a diamond shape on the tail? We have that.

Also, I hear rave reviews about the furminator, but I've seen a few comments against. What would be best for me to get and when should I start combing my puppy?

Thanks x

I like a rake for coated dogs. Also called an undercoat rake.
You need to start grooming, like, yesterday. Because the dog needs to become used to it ASAP.
We use ZOOM GROOM as well, or something like it which is a cheaper version you can find at Feed stores for horse grooming. It's a rubber curry comb. You could use that now.
