Going to PetSmart

J has done pretty well, he DOES still bark at some people, and dogs, but he is more willing to greet all but the pekingese next door, who I think is just too in-your-face for J.

If he gets too stressed I will put him in the cart and continue shopping, treats and praise all around though if he's doing well. I am mainly going to get some more info on their training classes, he's old enough now, since the minimum age is 10 weeks.

Will bring my camera to show him behaving... Or not behaving

Re: Going to PetSmart

How many vaccines has this pup had? Unless it's 3+ with some time after the last one, I wouldn't have my baby anywhere near Petsmart. Way too much risk of parvo.

Re: Going to PetSmart

I agree, Stark wasn't out and about in places with high traffic of animals until he had his second set of vaccines, even then we don't venture to Petsmart. We usually just go to the park at the end of our street, lots of stimulation and different people to meet.

There is a whole thread about socializing a unvaccinated (fully) pup, with great solutions and ideas.

The Home Depot in our area actually let me bring Stark in while I went shopping for our new place. He was mauled in every aisle.. Hahaha..
