7.5 weeks

J is 7.5 weeks, will be 8 weeks on the 1st... He is about 12lbs and is 15" long and 14" high (roughly).

That is about the normal size for a pup his age, right?
Not concerned, just thought I'd share.

Re: 7.5 weeks

He's only 12 pounds at 2 months? Seems a little light. How's he eating? He looks healthy in your picture. It's so funny how proud they are of themselves when they pick up a big stick.

Re: 7.5 weeks

Puppies grow at different rates and that chart doesn't even cover the different lines so it's an "average" which can be really off for one dog or pretty correct for another. I'd go by the individual dog, maybe compare to siblings if you can. If you're worried he's too small ask the breeder, they'll know best how the pups in their lines tend to grow.

He's a really cute pup, that's for sure!!

Re: 7.5 weeks

He eats great. Morning, non and evening, not to mention some chicken or beef chewies for training.

I'm just estimating weight, I have no scale for his size, he was 11.1lbs on tuesday. He goes back to the vet on the 9th, so I guess I will know exactly then.

I know, it's so funny... I drags it around behind him every time we go out there... I'm sure it'll be intact when he's big enough to carry it!

Re: 7.5 weeks

I'm sure he's fine. He looks good a plump like a pup should at his age. I wouldn't worry too much... well i probably would worry, but i worried about everything when Lucy was that age and she turned out just fine.

9 weeks

He's 9 weeks, will be ten in a few days, and currently is 16" high and 18" long, 18 lbs as of thursday. My measurements could be a bit off.
