Kaiser: Movement critique

My other thread: https://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...ue-kaiser.html

Weeell...the photography lessons went so-so. The bf is interested in learning but I think I might have given him too much at one time, lol. At any rate, here are some mediocre movement shots. We thought that Kaiser might be a little more agreeable after a walk (he was in super puppy zoomie mode), but apparently it completely wore him out. We will try again the next time the bf is in town, PRE-walk, lol, but I definitely made a few observations:

It doesn't take much for Kaiser to transition from a trot to a gallop. He still has heavy feet. It also appears (after looking at the pictures) that he doesn't have much extension. Unfortunately, most of the pictures weren't useable (wrong angle, wrong pace--thats my fault--, tired puppy--lol--) but I've attached the few that were salvageable. In comparison, Dakota has the most incredible trot. She practically prances, is so light on her feet, and she is still 25 pounds heavier than Kaiser (AND not even a purebred GSD).

This was one of the first few taken, a few minutes after our short walk:

And yet again:

He was really starting to get sluggish here:

And here, 3 of his feet are off the ground? This was right before we called it quits because he was dragging:

bump!

Also, I do see the very pronounced rump. It doesn't look anywhere near this high in his stacked pictures, or maybe its just me?

I believe this would be an example of "running downhill" as described in this thread: https://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...ing-lines.html

His coloration is really neat!

"For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear."

It sure does look he's running downhill, literally! I'll check out that thread. Gosh I just love learning about Kaiser. Even if he's not conformationally perfect (is that even a word?) I still hope to soak up all the information I can

And thank you! I love how he's darkening up!
