Please critique Akela

Akela is 18 months old, the last time I stacked him was exactly one year ago. It would be nice to read critiques and compare his development.

And a head shot

Yeah... he has grown into his head finally

Akela is oversized (66.5 cm / 26 inches) does it mean he can be koerclassed or that in the best case he would be kkl 2?

Akela de Poputchik, my Direwolf; IPO-2, Kkl1

He is very handsome......at his height, (depending on the judge)....he should still get a KKL1. *They may mention to pay attention to the height when breeding......very few dogs are TRULLY 65cms.*

Good to know about the Kkl. I'd really like to do all the process with him, if something, for my own learning.

Catu, what is his breeding again? Well, actually who is his sire? I know his dam.

I see his grandfather, Lasco, in him. Slightly square male with flat withers, very good topline, good placement of a croup that should be longer. Good angulation in front, good to very good in the rear. OK feet, good pasterns, hocks are probably a bit long. EXCELLENT secondary sex characteristics. There is no question this is a male. Beautiful rich sable color. I like him.

You can see in his head shot that he still has some growing to do. The big headed boys when young have this sort of look in their faces, in the structure of their heads/faces, that says I am not done growing.

He just can't hide his baby face! LOL You should see him moving, or better said, galumphing, then you can't doubt there is still a lot of maturing needed on him.

This is Akela's father: Irus von der Dornburg - working-dog.eu
Of the four littermates I'd said Akela is the one that looks more like Irus

Diabla Boroluz, my Daemon; IPO-A1, RH-T A
Akela de Poputchik, my Direwolf; IPO-2, Kkl1
Calais vom Adler Stein; IPO-A1, Kkl1
