Don't laugh! Attempted stack

This is what happens when you have a n00b and a 8 year old stacking...
The one showing his entire body is out of focus... and his head is wrong.

And Sparkles showing of her stack:

Please don't hesitate to point out what I am doing wrong with the stacking.

Re: Don't laugh! Attempted stack

The first stack with his head back and looking down has tightened up his topline and makes him look roached. He is also camped out a bit in front. The second photo is much better except for the missing parts of his head. You want to make sure the feet are pointed straight forward when stacking. Also, the far rear leg should be under him more.

Very balanced puppy. Flat withers (this can improve with age) a tad of a roach over the topline, good placement of a croup that should be longer. Sufficient angulation front and rear. Good feet, straight pasterns. He looks like he will end up with rich color.

I dont know much about stacking GSDs, but try and keep his front legs straight under his body.

Re: Don't laugh! Attempted stack

Thank you for the detail crit. Lisa! I always look forward to seeing your critiques.

Will try to do everything you guys suggested and have an adult man the camera, as both pup and child were getting restless... lol

The far rear leg should be about under his privates. And the hock of his near rear leg should be straight up and down, perpendicular to the ground (or countertop). He sure is a cutie!

Re: Don't laugh! Attempted stack

Thank you. I heard his far rear should be under his hip, though they aren't exactly professionals... I could try soon, he's had a busy day and might not be such a whiney boy about it.

I would have used a table, but they're glass... I just won't tell the person who is currently cutting up some lettuce that he was up there... LOL

And thank you, he sure is... When he's not smearing poo on the walls... Well that WAS cute too..
