Puppy Crit.

7.5 weeks (no stacked shots, but I'll try for one).
Haven't owned a BABY GS pup before, so if you guys see anything off, let me know! I tried to get some head shots. He has no patience for me to start stacking yet.

The only thing that's off is that he's not in my house right now

Owned by Nini and McKinley.

Re: Puppy Crit.

For a true critique you would need to have staked shots at the correct angle or at least shots level to the dog instead of taken from above.

Re: Puppy Crit.

Yep, I'm working on his stacking, he thinks it' such a game. But we're getting there. Sort of hard since I am the only one doing it, if I had help I could, I will try to get a friend over to take the picture while I stack.

Not too worried about it, just want your opinions since it has been so long since I had pups.

Re: Puppy Crit.

Put him up on a table, just don't let him jump off. Use a treat to get his attention and head where you want it.

What would really be good if you had a tripod and the camera focused on the right spot, then you had that cord thing in your hand to snap the picture, then you could hold the savery treat in place and snap when all is right.

I wish I had the tripod thing too, cause it would work.

Re: Puppy Crit.

I just have a little crappy camera, but I will find a way.
He always does lovely free-stacks when I don't have it!

Right now I'm just working on the stacking, he is a little stinker who doesn't like to hold still at all.

It is so much easier! I set mine on a stool and got an infrared remote shutter release so I can stack the dog and take the pic (my cord is only 3' so it's worthless for stacking). To get Nikon more alert I put a toy or food out in front of him.

Re: Puppy Crit.

I tried the on-the-table method and got a bit of a stack... The quality was SO BAD I used cartoon to make it more viewable... I know his feet are off, but he was getting bored, so I let him go be a puppy.
