read threads backwards?

Currently when I click on a thread it displays newest messages first, which means I have to skip to the last page to see the first post - often the reason I wanted to read the thread in the first place.

Is there a setting I can change so that threads are displayed oldest first?

You can change it in your User Control Panel Settings. On my phone it is under loading behavior.

Good Luck 🤗

I found it on desktop. A bit hidden!

User CP > Edit Options > Thread Display Mode (Linear, oldest first)

I just found it--User CP, Edit Options then scroll to Thread Mode Display, choose Linear--oldest First. I think that's all the steps. Don't forget to scroll to bottom after picking the Linear type you want, and "save changes."

Not quite sure why it's a default setting as this is the only second time I have seen it set as such in my 28 years of IT experience. LOL

Well, I would change my settings myself but apparently I cannot access the User CP yet even though I am a member... Should I post a few random posts to get to the magic post count number? This default is the opposite of every other forum I'm on and very annoying when you;re trying to read threads.
