Amazon Prime Adds

Starting yesterday on my work computer, using chrome and/or internet explorer 8, these VERY annoying amazon adds continue to pop up. I thought at first it may be the computer and whatever updates it has, but on my phone it started doing it to. On the phone it is even more annoying because it covers the whole screen.

Is this something new added in for $$$ on the admin side? Those that run the site?

How do I get them to stop? To make them go away, on the PC I just click on the screen off the add and it goes away. On the phone there's a small 'x' on the add to close it. I have to close the add at least 3 times to where it wont pop up anymore. BUT it pops back up 3 times if I go to a different section in the forums.

Thanks!

Same here. I use my phone to access ghe forum and the dang ads showed up multiple times even before closing it. I see the 'countdown' though maybe it'll stop after the deal ends.

On the computer, try clearing out your browser cache (Ctrl - H); make sure to select the option which eliminates cookies. This means you'll have to log back in to certain sites, but worth to get rid of the pesky ads.

This ad pops up on my page as well using Safari on my MacBook. Thankfully all I have to do is click elsewhere on the page to get the ad to go away.

Glad I'm not the only one, but wish it would stop!

I thought it was happening to me because I was shopping at Amazon during the prime deals window. Glad it's not just me!

I'm getting it on phone and laptop. Very annoying and I don't shop on line so they are wasted on me, lol.

The forum sells ad space. They make money this way. They are using us to make a dollar. In so many words.

Snitches get stitches.
