How to find e-vets?

I'm going on vacation tomorrow and want to write down the number of the closest vet in case of an emergency (this county doesn't even have a single hospital for humans so I don't want to be scrambling if I need a vet). How do you find an e-vet in a different county? Is there some national directory? This would be in southern Lake County or northern Newago County, Michigan, if anyone knows of one there specifically.

Re: How to find e-vets?

I am sure you tried google. But anyway, I googled it and came up with this:

http://www.animalhospitals-usa.com/v.../michigan.html

http://www.switchboard.com/Veterinar...s_Results.html

hope that helps! have a good trip

Re: How to find e-vets?

What I would do is bring up the Yellow Pages for the towns closest to where you will be staying. Call the regular vet's offices and ask them what the local / area emergency vet clinic is and whether they can give you the contact information.

That's what I'd do, anyway.

Re: How to find e-vets?

Thanks!

Last night when I went to bed it occurred to me that we vacation only 1 hr 15 mins. from our house which I think is closer than a lot of people have to drive to the nearest e-vet so if I can't find one I'll just plan on going straight to the regular one.
