Summer heat and paw pads

I'm in need of some advice for protecting my 2 gsds paw pads in the heat. It has just started getting in the 90s here in Cali. I was thinking of dog booties, but which are best? There are so many but I would like a quality set. I don't plan on taking them for walks in the heat, it is for when I need to move them across the hot surfaces. So it's for short term wear. Opinions appreciated. Thank you

My dogs work though the summer, and usually I just add some sweet almond oil to their pads if they are getting dry.. Obviously, if asphalt or concrete has gotten too severely hot, it probably isn't a good idea to be out and about, but as a SAR volunteer we never know when we will get called out. I haven't had to booties on mine, nor has it ever been so hot (they are moving the whole time, not standing) that I've worried. And we have been up to 109F. Not ideal, and I check them for any sores. Problem with booties is it makes them hotter and dogs don't have a good air conditioning system... Just my thoughts
