Broken Tooth?

A few weeks ago, Jesse had one of her bottom canine's break off. She had been playing with a tug jug and I think that the tooth got caught. Never whined or anything. We had a vet appt the next day so I wasn't too worried. When the vet looked at it, she didn't seem to concerned. She said that if it hadn't come out by the time we spay her, they will pull it when she is under anesthesia. (This is supposedly a baby tooth that was broke off). She recently since Monday has lost her top canine on the same side. I was looking in her mouth tonight to see the progress of the top tooth, and the bottom, and today it seems the bottom tooth area is somewhat swollen. Doesn't look infected, it's not bothering her at all, still chews on everything that she is allowed to chew, including ice cubes. Do I need to be concerned about this? I am not really certain if there is anything I can do, or should do other then keep an eye on it? Any suggestions for anything else I should be watching for..........

And no......we don't have the Tug Jugs around anymore.
