Senior raw fed peeing a lot

I fed my dogs raw several years ago and all was well but I tried incorporating veggies and my gsd started looking bad and losing weight etc. started feeding her raw again this past week. Perfect poop, no vomiting, coat already looks better. However, she is peeing a LOT more than usual and having accidents.

Any thoughts? I’m going to take her to the vet to rule things out but I know they’ll blame raw.

ETA: she's not appearing to be in pain, no excessive licking, not dribbling when she pees. it's a normal volume of pee.

I would definitely have her checked for a UTI. How old is she, is she spayed and, if so, when was it done? It could also be incontinence.

Raw food has a much higher moisture content and her body may have to adjust again (if you have ruled out a health issue).

she's 10 in february. spayed when she was a puppy. I've never had any issues with her peeing at all until the past few days with today being the first time she had an accident. I started her on raw about a week ago.

we have a vet appointment for this afternoon to rule out UTI and other issues.

Had blood in her urine 🙁. Started antibiotics and hoping her pee leak stops soon.

Glad you headed into the vets. That explains the accident.

Poor girl.
I’ve had lots of UTI problems with senior dogs. Keep an eye out for it.
