All you need to do is copy/paste the youtube link into your message. I've found you need the simple link and should be something like (I have to add some weird spaces so you can see... otherwise you'd just be looking at the video).

http:// www. youtube.com/watch?v=NIAAQdy8VFc

So that link without the 2 extra spaces (after the // and after the www. ) when I copy/paste it in the message just shows up like a miracle in the entire post after I hit 'Submit Reply'

Testing embedded photobucket video by copying the "HTML code" stuff in photobucket and wrapping it in "[html]" tags through the advanced editor:

HTML Code:
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid113.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fn216%2F[NAME]%2Fbc2.mp4">
[EDIT] ...haha! That's pretty lame. Why would I want my browser to not render HTML code!?

Second try: ...I wonder what happens if I don't wrap it in HTML tags:
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid113.photobucket.co m%2Falbums%2Fn216%2F[NAME]%2Fbc2.mp4">

...insane.

Third try: It's HTML code, but PHP should be able to parse that. I wonder what would happen wrapping in "[php]" tags:
PHP Code:
<embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid113.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fn216%2F[NAME]s%2Fbc2.mp4"
...wowza. A web forum that can't do html. I am blown away. haha!

I just saw on another post that the letters JS seem to render as javascript. Hmmm...

JS <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid113.photobucket.co m%2Falbums%2Fn216%2F[name]%2Fbc2.mp4">

[EDIT] errr.... nope. Geesh. Seems like there should be a way to actually embed photobucket videos...

(And if you are wondering- yes, I am a programmer [though not a web programmer]. )

I just found out BBCode supports a "[video]" tag. I wonder if it works?
[video]http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/[name]/?action=view&current=bc2.mp4[/video]

[EDIT] Good grief.

[video=http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/[name]/?action=view&current=bc2.mp4]video[/video]

...Ok, i give up.

wait- maybe it is case-sensitive?
[VIDEO]http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/[name]/?action=view&current=bc2.mp4[/VIDEO]

...Nope. I give up for real now.
