Forum comparison
i checked out that other forum for GSD's and read some threads. I've gotta say, I always thought this forum was pretty friendly, now I KNOW it is. I've seen some posts over there that are not just rude but aggressively so. People giving full names, accusations, publishing private emails, etc etc etc. I don't know if they aren't moderated or have a much looser set of rules or what but there sure is a difference in atmosphere. Here, when things get heated it is almost always because people have the best interests of the dogs in mind. Over there it appears people are intent on thrashing out their squabbles in public, no matter who gets hurt.
It's a cold world out there. I think I'll just stay here and get warm again. Jelpy

There are many, many GSD forums out there, some share the same admistrators and moderators, and the tone is very friendly.
The one in the breeder dumping topic has little or no policing and they seem pretty brutal. I am not a member of that and only see it when people bring it here. Not sure what I feel about them bringing that situation here. I find it disheartening in the least. But people reading it on another forum and then talking about it here with no links about who what where when and how, is just as hard on people who are not in the know.

Yes, I belong to another forum that I enjoy very much. All of the people on there are very friendly and treat others with kindness. When I am on the forum I feel like I am talking to old friends. They are like a little family.

Yeah. I was just astonished at the level of venom that seems to be flying over there. And not just on one topic but on several topics.

If you read there long enough you can figure out who is worthy and who is not.. that site isn't moderated, along with being able to edit and delete posts without a timeframe. It has really taken the GSD world to another level-and it isn't upward...
