Default Has anyone figured out how to REMOVE ADVERTISEMENTS yet?

I did a search and I don't really see where anyone is asking. So that either means that everyone has already figured it out, except me, or that I'm the first to ask. I did find a thread where someone mentioned that, when you click REMOVE ADVERTISEMENTS, it asks you to register and login, but I'm already registered and logged in. I never saw a reply to what she wrote about that, so I have to ask again. If there is an option to remove those advertisements that appear in the middle of our threads, how do we make it work? I can't figure it out. Please help!

Some people are recommending installing adblockerplus ??? guessing you can just do a google search to figure out where that is.

I don't know why, but I have only ever had the advertisements at the very top and the very bottom. I don't see the "flashing ads" between posts.

If you using Windows, I suggest that you look into using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer (if IE is what you use).

It has lots of add-ons (including the ad-blocker folks are referring to) that completely eliminates seeing the ads you're referring to.

And I have Internet Explorer and am only getting the 2 ads at the very top. So they aren't annoying at all cause they are out of sight as soon as I start scrolling down to read the threads.

It's really weird that none of us can figure out why all our computers seem to have different default settings with some getting the adds at the top, inbetween and bottom of the threads, others just have ads at the top and bottom, and then the rest of us that just have them at the top!

I have Firefox with AdBlocker Plus. Last week I disabled it to see what others see, and egads, it was awful.

I concur on the AdBlockerPlus! Also, counter, there is a thread in Chat that has been discussing this.
