Why Won't My Pics Load?

As most everyone will remember, it took me ages to learn how to load a petfinder pic thru Photobucket. Since the conversion, my pics won't load.

I'm doing the same exact steps as before; what's the problem ??

Can you explain exactly what those steps are? It's hard to know what the problem is without knowing that.

right clik on the pic and Save Pic As; go to Photobucket and upload the pic and highlite the IMG Code; then hit the Insert Image icon and paste that code and submit; the pics used to load, now an arrow just loads.

If you copy the IMG code you do not need to use the Insert Image icon, you can paste it right into your reply window. Can you try that and see if it works? That's the way I've always posted pictures, and it's working fine for me.

The IMG code is pre-formatted to show your picture, so it's doing the same thing as the Insert Image icon. You only need to do one of them, not both. If you copy one of the other links in photobucket you'd use the Insert Image code, but it's faster and easier to use the IMG code.

IGNORE THAT PREVIOUS POST, the editing here messed me up.

Whenever we want to post a photo, make sure you are in a NEW window, not doing a quick reply (like do not just start typing at the bottom of a page). You want a new window to open with all the options available.

When you do this, right above where you type, there are icons, you want to click on the one that looks like If you have Windows Explorer you may have a warning bar show up along the very top of the page asking if you want scripted windows or something, click on the warning bar cause you DO.

Then a window will open up that needs the url. This is found just by RIGHT clicking on almost any photo on the internet and scrolling down to the properties at the middle. Copy/paste this into the window from the

Can you get to see the somewhere when you start a new post? Click on that and the url for your photo (properties) goes there.

The AVATAR goes into where you can mess with all your settings. Up top is a black band,

Click on click on the User CP and you can add your signatures and avatar there. On my computer you can then get on the setting on the left side of the screen.

Jay, I have a Mac too. The instructions I gave to Pamela would be the same for you. You do not need to use the Insert Image button if you use the pre-formatted Img link in photobucket, it already has the code that the Insert Image has, you only need to use the button if you're copying one of the other links.

For avatars you would copy the direct link rather than the Img link.
