Question Automatic Logoff

Is there anyway to extend the amount of time before I'm logged off by the system?

You can stay permanently logged in. I'm automatically logged in every time I visit the board, even when I've shut down my computer overnight. It recognizes that I haven't actually been on the board since last night in my "you last visited" time at the top of the page, but I don't have to ever manually log in.

When you log in, there's a box that asks if you want to permanently log in, you need to check that box.

If that doesn't work, then you probably have to add permissions to allow cookies from the site, not just session cookies.

So have any of these fixes, the permanent login, or the cookies, helped? Are folks still having this problem?

Yes, I'm still having that problem.

I can't check that box, because others sometimes use my computer and I don't want to be permanently logged on.

How do I deal with the "cookies"?

Jan, you can still check the box and then manually log off when you're done.
