What are "InteliTXT" ads?

In the User CP, under Your Profile - Edit your Details, there is an option on the very bottom of the page to enable/disable IntelliTXT ADs:

IntelliTXT Ads

This allows you to Enable or Disable the IntelliTXT Advertising.
Enable Disable

Question for the New Board Gurus: What are IntelliTXT Ads?

Intelitxt ads are turned on for unregistered users. When they read a thread, certain key words will be underlined and in a different color. When a user hovers over the word, a pop-up bubble appears with links to ads or an ad itself.

So does that mean that as soon as someone registers, they are automatically turned off?
