One thing I like is that we have the choice of seeing not just other posts by a particular person, but also threads started by them. There have been many times when I know someone started a really good thread and want to find it later but can't remember what forum it was in or what the title was. Searching through all of someone's posts in order to find the thread took way too long since an active poster may have pages and pages of posts within the past few weeks or months, but usually not that many of their own threads. Big time saver, and much more convenient!

But my name on the boards is not SammyLee, it is BucksMom how can I fix it?
Also my date of birth is 08-10-2010 how do i fix that?

SammyLee must be your login name - see my post right above yours as to why that happened and what you can do about it.

Your birthdate can be corrected in your Control Panel - click on the User CP in the black bar across the top of the page to get to your Control Panel and you'll find all sorts of things you can edit and adjust.

SammyLee, you can fix the name by sending a pm to an Admin and request that they change it. Admins will have their names in red print.

Cassidy's Mom, I've trained myself to *not* use an apostrophe in your name, and now I have to untrain myself!

I really, really like the new board and the transition was exceptionally smooth. In fact, I like it so much that I leave the site open even when I’m working. However, when I go back to check on the newest topic, I find I am no longer logged in and have to log in again.

Is there a time limit before you are automatically logged off?

Have you selected the "remember me" option when you log in? I stay logged in all the time, and even when my computer is turned off still I'm logged in when I turn it back on.
